Welcome back
Welcome to Term 1, 2017 at Lakes Grammar – An Anglican School. We have had a smooth start to the year and welcomed many new students across the school. It was lovely to see the smiles on the faces of the Junior School children as they arrived and met up with their friends after the holidays.

HSC results

Our 2016 HSC cohort had a wonderful set of HSC results. A number of students gained an ATAR above 90 (ATAR is the university entrance rank). A good number of exam results were in Band 6 (90 and above). When Band 5 and 6 (marks 80 and above) results are combined for each subject, most subjects had a percentage above or well above the state average. The school ranking table in the Newcastle Herald showed that Lakes was the fourth highest ranked of all the schools on the Central Coast. If we omit Gosford High (which is a selective school) we are equal third. We were ranked higher than all our local competitors - government, independent and Catholic. We are very proud of our students and I am proud of our teachers whose hard work in preparing our students has borne fruit.

I am pleased to announce that Peggie Pantsos, one of our previous Vice-Captains, is the Dux for 2016. Peggie attained the highest ATAR in our Year 12. As well, Peggie’s Visual Arts Body of Work was selected for Art Express and is currently being exhibited at the Art Gallery of NSW. I visited the gallery recently and was so pleased to see Peggie’s work prominently displayed.


National School Poster Competition

Congratulations to Emily Riches, Kaitlin Moore and Brandon Lao, joint winners of the 2016 Years 7-8 Division of the Statistical Society of Australia’s 2016 National Schools Poster Competition, with their investigation and poster entitled ‘POKEMON GO! ’. This was run as part of our Senior School’s Cognito program. This is a significant achievement for these students at the national level. It involved the team planning, hypothesising, conducting research and designing a poster to convey their findings.


School attendance

Please note that students are expected to be at school every day other than for illness or exceptional circumstances. The NSW government requires Principals to adhere to its regulations regarding school attendance. That is, not to approve absences except for such circumstances. Parents are strongly discouraged from taking their children on holidays during term time as there is clear evidence of a link between school attendance and achievement. If you apply to take children on a holiday during term time I am not able to approve the leave. That doesn’t mean you can't go, it just means that official approval has not been given and your child’s attendance roll will be marked as absent without approved leave. If you provide a valid reason to explain that it was not possible for the leave to be taken during school holidays, I may be able to approve the leave. To request leave you need to complete the Application for Extended Leave – Travel form, available on Parent Lounge. Please submit this well in advance of the requested travel dates (two days notice is not sufficient).

Congratulations to….

Samantha Livingstone of Year 9 and Aimee-Jane Strawbridge of Year 10 who recently competed in the Water Polo State Championships as part of the Central Coast U16 girls team.

Jordan Ghattas of Year 5 who is currently ranked No. 1 in NSW for U11 Squash. What a wonderful achievement.


Last year some parents were fined for parking on the grass outside the school. The road rules on the RMS website  ( state the following:

General parking rules

You must not stop your vehicle (that is, bring it to a stop and either stay with the vehicle or leave it parked) in the following circumstances:

          Double parked (that is in the road alongside a car that is parked)

          On or across a driveway (unless dropping off or picking up passengers for no longer than 2 minutes)

          On or across a footpath

          On a median strip or traffic island

          On motorways

          In a clearway

          On footpaths and nature strips

This makes it clear that it is illegal to park anywhere on the grass in front of the Junior School. To confirm this, I rang the Highway Patrol at Wyong and was told the same – that entire grassed area is considered to be “nature strip” so it is illegal to park on it. Within a school zone the fine is $180 and two demerit points.

As well, the dead-end section of road outside the gate is classed as “road-related” and the road rules apply. You must park legally in this small section, ie. facing your direction of travel on the left hand side of the road. If you reverse in and park at the end in the middle next to another parked vehicle, you are double parked and hence illegally parked.

You can expect the police or Council Rangers to return to enforce these rules so it is important that you also tell any relative who picks your children up. I encourage you to use Kiss and Go as our system works efficiently. If you do not have your family name card for your visor, please contact the JS office.

Please also respect the rules inside the school. All the parking signs and other road rules can also be enforced within the school grounds by police should they choose to do so.

Please do not drive through the staff car park and around the back to the oval. The safety of students and staff is endangered by this. The staff car park is out-of-bounds except for staff.

“Birds flyin' high, you know how I feel…Sun in the sky, you know how I feel…Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel.  It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me.  Yeah, it's a new dawn, it’s a new day, it's a new life for me, ooooooooh...And I'm feelin' good.”  These words are from a 1960s musical and originally made famous by Nina Simone and more recently by Michael Bublé.  They are the words that came to mind post Year 7 camp at the beginning of our term.  The campsite at Point Wolstoncroft is so picturesque and being with 70 students starting out their Senior School lives has that real sense of freshness that the lyrics capture.  For all our students they have a new opportunity in 2017 to become who they are called to be….and I pray that they may be “Feelin’ good!”

Whether you are starting in Kindy, Year 7 or are a new student at our school or even a returning student, 2017 will not be the same as 2016.  Each year we see changes to who teaches who and dynamics in the student population ebb in and out like the tide.  Having that expectation that something new is happening at Lakes Grammar opens us to the possibilities that fire our imaginations and creativity.  For me, I truly believe that God is doing a new thing at our school this year and I want to be involved in whatever that might look like.  I hope that you too may be open to new possibilities this year that leave you “Feelin’ good!”

Speaking of good, this Sunday at Lakes Anglican Church our Kindy cohort are invited to have their backpacks blessed.  This is a wonderful service where we can encourage our youngest school members that God is with them wherever they go.  That God has a purpose and a plan for their life and that they are precious to him.  I know that our staff are super excited to see what gifts of learning they will fill their backpacks with over the years to come.  I also know that as we journey with them through 2017 and beyond that we will love watching them learn, grow and mature…it leaves us “Feelin’ Good!”

Welcome to the 2017 school year in the Junior School. I do hope that all families enjoyed a relaxing Christmas and New Year holiday period together, celebrating the birth of Christ, enjoying family time, and that everyone is refreshed and ready for all that 2017 has in store! It was such a pleasure last week to welcome the smiling faces that make our school such a happy place to come each day. It is a new and exciting year as the Junior School continues to strive to achieve excellence in education, care and friendship. We have a number of new families, including all of our new Kindergarten students, joining the Lakes Grammar Family and a very warm welcome is extended to each. Our school is such a wonderful place with which to be associated and I am certain that you have already been made to feel very welcome. 

Building Learning Power

We are continuing to work on our Building Learning Power program in classrooms. The diagram below shows the four areas of our ‘Building Learning Power’ program (Reach Out, Look Within, Think Clearly and Believe in Ourselves) which link in with our school motto ‘With Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength’.

Lakes Grammar Habits

The Junior School utilises the learning framework of Lakes Grammar Habits to effectively integrate our Building Learning Power, Positive Behaviour for Learning and Virtues programs.

  • Building Learning Power develops the capacity of students for learning, their curiosity, craftsmanship, creativity and collaboration.
  • The Virtues program develops children’s Christian values, moral harmony and moral integrity, including kindness, honesty, trustworthiness, service, empathy and moral courage.
  • Positive Behaviour for Learning develops our student self-regulation and self-awareness to demonstrate respect, responsibility and care for themselves and others.

The Junior School collectively focuses on a Habit each week drawn from one of the three programs whilst concurrently working with students to develop a range of habits and capacities in the day to day life of the school.

Junior School Leaders 2017

It has been a pleasure to have begun working with an enthusiastic and keen group of Junior School Leaders in 2017 and for them to officially take office following our Induction Assembly and Chapel on Thursday. We are looking forward to attending a Student Leadership Day later in the month to continue to grow together as leaders and to plan for a range of initiatives whereby the students are able to carry out their roles within the school this year.

A huge thank you to the leadership group for the example they are setting to others in the classroom, the playground and in a range of co-curricular activities. Their involvement at the Junior School Swimming Carnival and around the school has been very much appreciated already!

Welcome BBQ and Meet the Teacher Evening

Thank you for all the families that were able to come along to the Welcome BBQ, it is always a highlight of Term 1, and a special thanks to the P & F for all their efforts in supplying a BBQ dinner.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at the Meet the Teacher sessions for Years 1 - 6 this week and we hope that you found them informative. We understand that it is difficult for some families to attend these sessions so please feel free to touch base with your child’s classroom teacher for any handouts or information that you may have missed.

The Curriculum Booklets for each year level, Kinder – Year 6, are now available on Parent Lounge for those of you who would like to know more about the programs on offer at the School.

If you were unable to make the evening, your child’s class teacher has also sent home a copy of the handout from the evening.

Many of your children will be participating in our extensive co-curricular programs and you will have received communications from the teachers administering these activities about the arrangements for each of these. The staff are working hard to support the children to be organised about their attendance at these and we are encouraging them to note these in their diary. It would be helpful if parents could also give the children a reminder about any clubs or activities that they should be attending at the start of the day for the next week or so.

Kindergarten and Year 6 Buddies

A warm welcome to all of our new Kindergarten students and their families. It has been great to see the top job that Year 6 have been doing with their Kindergarten buddies to help them to settle in to Lakes Grammar. Thanks to Year 6, Mr Johns, our Kindergarten teachers, our Teacher’s Aide Tracey and our counselor Stacey for all of the work that they have done to help the students settle in.

A big welcome to all our existing and new families and students to the JS Library! 2017 promises to be a big and exciting year in our library. Stay tuned for upcoming events and activities. 

Premier's Reading Challenge

Registration for the 2017 PRC will be open early March and PRC notes will be handed out during library lessons within the next 2 weeks. If your child wishes to participate in this year’s challenge, you will need to sign the registration form and return it to the JS Library for our input.  You will also need to complete the Reading Log form (at home) attached to the registration to record the PRC books being read. Please ask us if you have any questions. Last year, there were 133 completed PRC’s and we hope to beat that this year!


Just a reminder that the school has approximately 350 overdues carried from last year. Please ensure all books are returned on time to avoid a notice at the end of term. Thank you for your understanding in this regard.

Teaching and Learning
Welcome back to everyone. We are looking forward to a great year of learning here in the Senior School.  The Senior School staff started the year with two professional development days, which focused on learning how to improve students' reading skills through teaching cognitive strategies and looking at effective feedback methods.  The 2017 Learning Goals for our students and teaching are helping students improve their:

  • Higher Order Thinking Skills
  • Writing Skills
  • Reading Skills
  • Numeracy Skills

Gifted and Talented

This year myself and Mrs Phoebe Stibbard are working on identifying students who are gifted and talented and working with them to deepen their learning. If you would like to discuss your already identified gifted child or would like to discuss your child who has demonstrated these traits and is unidentified, please feel free to contact myself or Mrs Stibbard at school.

NAPLAN Tests 9-11 May

NAPLAN is fast approaching and our current Year 9 students are the first cohort who need to achieve Band 8 in Reading, Writing and Numeracy to be eligible for the HSC in 2020.

If students do no achieve Band 8 they have the opportunity to reach this benchmark through sitting online tests, which will be available at last twice a year in: Year 10; Year 11; Year 12 and for up to 5 years after starting their HSC. This has ramifications for students attending the NAPLAN test, all students must be here to complete the test. If students are ill, catch up days are always available at the end of the week to complete the exams. However, we strongly advise for you not to plan for your child to be away on a family holiday at this time.

If in the past you believe your child may have been exempt from completing NAPLAN, please contact Ms Kristy Gorham or Ms Stacey Hughes for further information. They will also be contacting known students' parents to discuss this in the near future.

Literacy Planet

In the coming week all Year 7 and 8 students will receive a log in for Literacy Planet. This is an online learning platform which has been tailored to help students improve their comprehension and vocabulary skills. Staff will receive training next week and therefore it will be operational in the English classroom from Week 4. We encourage students to be regularly using this at home to help improve their comprehension and overall literacy skills.

Aboriginal Education Team

Last year the Senior School formed an Aboriginal Education Team. In 2017 the team will be meeting regularly to formulate our Aboriginal Education Plan. Creative and Performing Arts
Welcome to a new year in Creative and Performing Arts at Lakes Grammar for 2017. The Faculty has an exciting collection of events planned for the year ahead in Visual Arts, Music, Photo & Digital Media and Drama. We will be presenting a very popular musical production this year, which will involve all of our departments. An announcement regarding the title of the production will be made very soon, once the rights to the show are finalised. We look forward to commencing auditions in coming weeks and seeing the creative talents of our students emerge.

Peggie Pantsos’ artwork is now on show at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. She has been honoured to have her HSC Body of Work selected for the prestigious ARTEXPRESS Exhibition. Students who are nominated for ARTEXPRESS have achieved the highest results in the State for their artwork.  A nerve racking final selection is made; if selected in the final round, students are invited to exhibit at different sites. It is a particular honour to have work on show at the Art Gallery of NSW. Her very large Body of Work is now hanging on the walls of one of the most important Art Galleries in the Southern Hemisphere.  The exciting show officially opened last Wednesday night at the gallery in Sydney. Peggie’s engaging digital photos and videos were hugely popular with the audience and gallery staff, leading to her being invited to conduct tutorials and demonstrations for school students over the course of the Exhibition. The gallery also selected one of her dynamic portraits to be used as their advertising image on the Artexpress, gallery website. A huge congratulations to all the staff who supported her at Lakes Grammar and congratulations to Peggie and her family.

Music Teachers and Tuition

I am very pleased to welcome Mrs Whitwell to the Music Department. She will be overseeing the Music Tuition in the Senior School and teaching Years 8, 10 & 11 Music students. Please contact Mrs Whitwell with any questions regarding the Instrumental and Vocal Tuition programme.  The co-ordination of this programme is vast, so please be patient as we organise the timetables with some new and existing Tutors. All students need to fill out an enrolment form to resume tuition in 2017. Instrumental and Vocal tuition forms please collect from the C Block staffroom. Mr Gallen is instructing Year 7, 9 and 12 in Music classes this year and we look forward to seeing the stage band perform under his care once again.


Miss Newton conducts Secondary Year 11 and 12 Drama classes. She will also be the Director of the Musical Production. Miss Newton will expertly guide students in Years 7-10 if they are involved in the 2017 production. Students also have the opportunity to enrol in the after school, extra-curricular drama lessons with the Liberty Arts Theatre Academy. Visual Arts and PDM

Mrs Baker is teaching across most year groups in Art and Photography this year. She will be teaching Year 12, in Term 1, while Mr Langejans is away on long service leave. Mrs Lobregat will be instructing Years 9 & 10 in Photo & Digital Media for just one Term. My classes include Year 7, 9, 10 and 11, however, please contact me regarding the progress of your child across any CAPA subjects and year group. I am more than happy to communicate with parents via phone, email or interview. The Faculty greatly appreciates your support and values parent involvement in our school events.

Secondary Vocal Ensemble is meeting on a Monday lunchtime this term, and open to anyone in Year 7 – 12 who likes to sing!  No audition or experience necessary. Bring your lunch, your vocal chords and your enthusiasm to B7 at the beginning of lunch. See you there!

Instrumental Tuition

A reminder that all students wishing to receive individual tuition on an instrument this year must fill out an enrolment form as the first step, including continuing students from last year. An updated form will soon be available on the Parent Lounge.  In the interim, forms are available from Mr Feps in the Junior School, the Music staff in the senior school, or (for continuing students) from their instrumental tutor.  Classes have commenced this week. Please do let me know at if you have filled out an enrolment form and haven’t yet been contacted by a tutor.

We have welcomed in a new year and a new era with Mr Brant Maslen moving onwards and upwards from Lakes Grammar. He has built a strong and innovative faculty and has seen the introduction of many new Technology subjects during the years. He has been an integral part of the life at Lakes and so we thank him for his legacy. Students have settled in for a fun year of experimenting and producing with Year 11 already underway on their first Design and Technology project. We look forward to seeing their recycled creations later this term. Year 8 have begun their Food Technology experience and are enjoying the products of their labour – although the washing up is not a favourite! Our Year 12 students have got stuck back into their ongoing studies and are challenging their concepts of the world around them. Year 7 have certainly enjoyed their first few lessons of a variety of Technology topics, including CO2 racers, textiles and animation.

We look forward to celebrating the successes of our students this term and we will share their progress with you.

Recipe of the week: Very quick and easy and very tasty!

Lemonade Scones


2/3 cup cream

2 cups self-raising flour

2/3 cup cold lemonade

2 Tblspns raw sugar

Extra flour for dusting


Preheat oven to 225 degrees Celsius (205 degrees Celsius fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Sift flour into a large bowl. Combine lemonade and cream in a medium bowl. Add lemonade and cream mixture to flour and gently fold ingredients together until just combined (don't over mix the dough as this will produce tough scones). The dough should be fairly soft and sticky.

Place dough on a lightly floured bench, form into a round and press out to about 3.5cm thickness. Cut scones using a floured 5cm diameter cutter. Using a quick, firm motion to cut the scones gives a them better shape and makes them less likely to stick to the cutter. Form the offcuts into another round and cut some more scones.

Place scones close together on the tray, so they are just touching. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until pale golden and cooked through.

If you like your scones to have a soft crust, cover them with a clean tea towel for one minute after removing from the oven. Serve hot with jam and whipped cream.

Welcome back as Year 8 students to Lakes this year. We have an exciting year planned ahead as you continue with subjects from last year and have a go at Chinese for this year. The Year 8 Tutor team are focusing on building a positive friends network this week now that you are back and seeing some old friends and a few new faces too. A reminder that the school diary is a great tool for students, parents and teachers alike to communicate and plan for upcoming events and class activities. Nearly everything we achieve in life is with and through people, side-by-side and face-to-face. Being able to build rich and caring relationships with other people is essential to students’ wellbeing. Social-connectedness is the single greatest factor in people being happy. Friends are like oxygen for all of us, especially adolescents and it is also important for them to have a number of friendship groups; should one have conflict, they have others to turn to.

There are many components to building friendships. They include living and learning collaboratively, co-operatively and respectfully with other people; living by giving to make a positive difference to others’ lives; focusing on mutual respect – everyone is special – expect it and respect it; appreciating others and their strengths to learn from them by asking "tell me more" mindfully listening with their eyes, their ears and their heart – being fully present; being true to themselves – respect the person you see in the mirror, and build empathy for others’ feelings, needs and views.

Students this week have been looking at the activities related to Relationships and Optimism found on pages 40 and 143 of the student diary. In particular, we have looked at kindness and how that plays out in our lives here at school as well as at home.

Year 9… It’s a PRIORITY

Welcome back Year 9. The year has begun and many students are enjoying being back at school and learning in their chosen electives. The Year 9 tutor team and teachers are working closely to help Year 9 manage and organise their time by using the school diary. If you haven’t seen it yet then I encourage you to take a look. The school diary not only provides your child with the ability to record what is happening and required at school, but also provides a framework that supports your child’s wellbeing and growth. Our focus this term is on Organisation. This week, Year 9 tutor teachers will be helping students PRIORITSE their time. We will then offer advice on how to set up an effective workstation and develop a personal timetable.

Prioritising is a self-regulation skill and strength, which enables students to use their time more effectively. Mindfully reflecting on and then arranging their daily/weekly activities and commitments in order of importance, broadens their attention and engagement with what they are doing and need to do. Teaching students to prioritise gives them tools to develop growth mindsets to overcome challenges. Most students find it very difficult to apply themselves to Home Learning/Study unless it is planned ahead of time. The “spontaneous” approach of just letting it happen doesn’t work.

To prioritise their activities, the ‘musts’ and ‘options’ on page 181 of the diary is an effective thinking tool to use. It provides students with a valuable perspective on the activities they participate in which may include; sports training, part-time jobs, study, reading and home learning, socialising and networking with friends, favourite television shows and games, family commitments, daily exercise and leisure activities.

The Eisenhower matrix is also a great way to help students prioritise. A fun Youtube video explaining the matrix can be found at


Camp will take place from 27 February – 1 March. Most students have returned their medical information slips (thank you in helping to get those back so quickly). We will have further information on the camp coming home by the end of next week.

Welcome to another great year at Lakes Grammar - An Anglican School. This year with Careers there will be a Year 10 Careers Day in May. Year 11 will have an opportunity to “Try-a-Skill” in June and attend the School Expo for Careers in May. All Year 10 students will be interviewed by me (Mrs James) either in Term 1 or Term 2 to start guiding them in their subject selection process and Career Path.  Year 11 or Year 12 students can come and see me or email me at any time for an appointment if they require assistance. In the coming Year 10 information night I will be going over Morrisby testing and discuss work experience and the Careers Day. Year 12 will be guided through the UAC applications later on in the year.

Please remember to look at the Lakes Grammar Careers Page - This contains a wealth of information. There are pages for parents as well as students. Particularly useful this year for Year 12 is the calendar. This will not only inform them about timing for their UAC application but gives the dates of University Open Days and closing dates for scholarships. This is a good idea for students to get on top of now as they don’t want to be panicking when the examinations are on top of them. It is a good time of year to start thinking about courses, options and opportunities. Year 11 and 12 students should be looking at early entry schemes to see what is required of them and if they can apply. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course will be run later in the year.

School Sport

Tuesday school sport is now up and running and has run smoothly so far. Once again there are many sports (free and paid) to choose from in Term 1. Any questions, please refer them to Mr Cantor.

HRIS / CIS Representation (Year 5 and 6 only)

Once again, there are many opportunities for our Year 5/6 boys and girls to represent HRIS or CIS. Students who already compete at a representative level are encouraged to trial for that particular sport. A term timetable is placed in the Junior School sports noticeboard with upcoming events. Please note, if your child is selected for a HRIS team (such as X Country, swimming, etc.), then they are required to purchase a polo HRIS shirt from the school. They are $33 each. Please see Mr Summers for more details regarding any HRIS / CIS requirements.

Mackensie Roffey

Mackensie Roffey from Year 5 has been selected to represent the U10s Central Coast at the NSW State Cup Oztag in Coffs Harbour on Friday 9/10/11 February. This is a wonderful achievement for Mackensie and we wish her and all other competitors well in this great event.

Welcome: I wish to extend a welcome to all new students and their families to Lakes Grammar. I also welcome back all continuing students and their families to another busy year of sport. This year Mr Beecroft will be co-ordinating sport in the Senior School.

The following dates have been determined for Lakes Grammar’s major sporting events for 2016:

Secondary Swimming Wednesday, 15 February at Wyong Pool.

Cross Country (K-12) to be confirmed.

Secondary Athletics Wednesday, 17 May at Warnervale.

Weekly Sport: It was great to see such a smooth and enthusiastic start to the year with weekly sport. I remind all students that you must have the correct equipment to participate in your sport each week and the correct uniform is to be worn each sport day. The correct uniform is the school sport shirt, school sport shorts, white school socks and joggers (mainly white). Street shoes or slip on shoes are not appropriate for sporting activities as they do not do up tightly enough to support the ankle and foot and do not support the heel.

If your child is having issues with the uniform please contact the school.

The following policy again applies to sport choices in 2017. If fees are in arrears for your child/children, your child must choose a free sport that is offered at school, unless you have an agreed payment arrangement with the school. Paid sports will not be visible to students who are in this situation on the night of online sport selections. Please speak to your child about this to avoid any disappointment.


College Sporting Lunch Time competition: This term students have the opportunity to represent their college in a lunchtime soccer competition. The draw is underway and I encourage all students to get involved either as a player, support or in an organisational role. Teams are mixed and divisions include:7/8, 9/10 ,11/12.

Snowsports: Lakes Grammar has had a proud tradition in the sport of Snowsports over many years and this year the interest has started already. If you have an interest in skiing or snowboarding maybe our Snowsports club will interest you.

When competing competitors are placed into divisions

            Division 1                     Year11/12

            Division 2                      Year 9/10

            Division 3                      Year 7/8

            Division 4                      Year 5/6

            Division 5                      Year 2 and under

In the June-July holidays the Northern NSW Championships are held at either Perisher or Thredbo. These championships go for three days in many disciplines. The top 10 from all events are considered for selection in the Northern NSW team. These championships are a great start to any child wishing to compete as numbers are a little lower.

In August the Northern NSW team competes at the State Championships. This of course is a step up in class with the Sydney region and Southern ACT regions coming together. The top 10 in each event are considered for selection in the NSW team. In September the NSW team competes at the Australian Championships held in either NSW or Victoria.

Cricket News:

Han Green was selected for the girls under 15 state team (ACT/NSW Country), and went to compete in the National under 15 Female Championships held in Canberra. They won the Grand Final against Queensland, beating them by a massive 113 runs.

In addition to this great result, throughout the carnival selectors were present from Cricket Australia to select 20 girls for the under 15 female Cricket Australia Development Squad.  Han was selected!  She got to stay in Canberra three more days at the AIS, and goes to the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane in September for a development camp.
